Mining pool
PPLNS and pool fees
Understand MineHarbor’s planned Bitcoin pool reward method.
PPLNS means Pay Per Last N Shares. When the pool finds a valid Bitcoin block, the distributable reward is allocated across qualifying recent shares instead of paying a fixed amount for every submitted share.
- A valid share proves that a miner contributed work to the pool.
- The pool must find a block before that round produces a block reward.
- Recent qualifying shares determine each miner’s portion under the configured PPLNS window.
- Consistent participation reduces the effect of joining only briefly around a lucky block.
- The planned MineHarbor operator fee is 1% of a found block reward.
